BUCKCHERRY began a new leg of tour dates earlier this month as the band got closer to performing its 200th show in support of its third album, "15", which was released one year ago on April 11. Guitarist Keith Nelson told Launch that the band has eased back on the rock and roll lifestyle in order to play that many gigs. "I think a lot of people expect us to be walking around with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a mirror under our faces," he said. "That's just not the reality for us. You know, we're coming up on our 200th show and in order to keep the pace that we're at, you know, it's really about trying to stay healthy, not get sick, and make it to the next gig. I'm not saying we don't have fun, 'cause we certainly have our fun, but you know, you've just kind of gotta pick and choose where you have your fun."
The album's first single, "Crazy Bitch", has been played more than six million times at the group's MySpace page and has sold over a million ringtones.
BUCKCHERRY recorded "15" in late 2005 after a three-year hiatus and the departure of several members.
